The science-policy discussion group meets once a semester in order to talk about topics relating to science studies, higher education research, and science policy. Usually, there are two short inputs—one presenting new findings about science studies and higher education research, the other addressing current debates on science and education policies.
The members of the discussion group include academics, science policy-makers, university administrators, and representatives from organizations that are connected with science and academia in general or that provide funding for research. Membership is by personal invitation. The discussion group is led by Prof. Eva Barlösius (LCSS) and Prof. Uwe Schimank (University of Bremen).
